Sahasra Deepalankara seva Deepam Lighting
Price range: $108.00 through $221.00
During Deepavali (Diwali), the Festival of Lights, Mother Lakshmi rushes forth to bless Her children with peace, joy, loving harmony, and every form of auspicious wealth.
The Sahasra Deepalankara Seva—the offering of a thousand sacred lamps (deepams)—is a timeless expression of devotion and surrender. Each flame represents a prayer, a hope, and an offering of the soul to the Divine Light.
Performed in Amma’s divine presence at Her Penusila Ashram in India, this ceremony transforms the entire sanctum into a radiant ocean of light, symbolizing the awakening of divine consciousness within every heart.
Lighting the deepams signifies:
– Dispelling darkness and ignorance from life
– Inviting the light of divine wisdom and prosperity
– Burning away karma through the flame of devotion
– Filling one’s home with the glow of peace and abundance
When offered during the sacred days of Sri Dhana Lakshmi Devi, especially on Deepavali Amavasya, the blessings of this seva are said to be magnified manyfold, bringing divine illumination to all aspects of life—spiritual, emotional, and material.

Special Instructions for Sponsorship Orders
Before each homam or puja is performed in Amma’s Lalita Temple, a “sankalpa” is recited in Sanskrit, a divinely powerful language. Sankalpa is a special process involving Vedic incantations that energetically connect you and your family directly to any ritual. Amma assures us that when we are included in a sankalpa, we become spiritually connected to the power of the divine ceremony and receive its full benefits immediately, just as if we were physically present.
In the section before below, please enter the name of the primary person for whom the festival is being sponsored. This name will be recited during the sankalpa. Please list up to five additional names and nakshatras only. It is necessary to list all family members’ names, as they will automatically receive blessings through the primary sponsor. If you know the primary sponsor’s nakshatra (Vedic birthstar), you may enter it below. If you don’t know the gotra or nakshatra, it’s fine to leave this blank.
If the prasadam shipping address is different from the billing address, please complete the field below. Please be aware that it may take several weeks to receive your prasadam, since it is being mailed from India.
