How to Receive Mother Lakshmi’s Grace
During the Month of Shravana

During this very auspicious month, Mother Lakshmi’s grace overflows in abundance, and so this month is dedicated to the worship of Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi. Tuesdays and Fridays are two very significant days for worshipping any form of Divine Mother, and observing these days during the month of Shravana is even more powerful. The four Tuesdays throughout the month of Shravana are known as Shravana Mangalavaras, and are very powerful days for the worship of Gauri Devi, the Divine Mother and consort of Lord Shiva. In the month of Shravana, or Shravana Masa, the four Fridays are most important for the worship of Sri Maha Lakshmi. Goddess Sri Maha Lakshmi is Aishwarya Pradayini, the bestower of every kind of wealth–financial, spiritual, or emotional. By worshipping Sri Maha Lakshmi one can eliminate commotion, anxiety, poverty and ill health, and attain peace, brilliance, prosperity, and all noble desires.

For the worship of Sri Maha Lakshmi, Amma recommends the chanting of Samputita Sri Suktam. For those who don’t know Samputita Sri Suktam, they can listen to a recording of it, or they can do japa of any Lakshmi Devi or Devi mantras, or they can just do more meditation.

For the entire month of Shravana, it is best to eat only sattvic foods, like dairy products, fruits, nuts, chapatis, vegetables, lentils, and rice. It is also beneficial to reduce salty, sour, spicy and oily foods in one’s diet. For spiritual aspirants, this is a golden opportunity to focus on one’s sadhana. We should maintain a pure heart and mind, to speak truthfully and kindly, and to act with compassion and in dharma.

Sri Vara Mahalakshmi Vratam Mandala Maha Pooja

During the last few months, Manidweepa Mahasamasthanam under the Divine guidance of Amma Sri Karunamayi, has completed the inauguration of Sri Subramanya Swami Maha Mandala 40-day initiation (deeksha). A new deeksha has been undertaken now for the grace and blessings of Sri Varalakshmi Devi. The Pandita Mandali (a group of extremely learned and eminent Vedic pundits) hane provided the following explanation as to why the ‘Mandala Deeksha’ needs to be performed at Manidweepa Mahasamasthanam under the guidance of Amma.

What is a Kalasarpa dosha?

Kalasarpa dosha means “death” in one word.
When Mars (Kuja) comes very close to the gravitational pull of the earth there are significant dangers of fire accidents, water disasters, floods, earthquakes, catastrophic deaths, crop failures, and the loss of human lives in all countries.
In 2020, we all experienced the effects (especially financial difficulties) of Pancha (5) Graha Yoga – 5 planets in their own houses and also Chatur (4) Graha Yoga.

Before mankind was able to recover from these malefic effects in 2022, the year 2021 saw 4 more Kalasarpa doshas. For the Vedic year 2021-2022, Mars (Kuja) is the King and Commander-in-Chief, Senadhipathi. The lord of the year, Mars (Kuja) is a fiery and violent planet. Recently, we have all experienced the Mars (Kuja Graha) afflictions as the planet expresses his negative side which warps into rage, jealousy, fights, arguments, physical violence, war, abuse, etc. He is a cruel force, kroor-graha, a natural malefic. In your birth chart and also in transit, he brings about changes linked with force and action.

In 2022, mankind will experience 3 Kalasarpa doshas and the world has become fragmented. Many people have experienced financial difficulties, experienced tragedies, faced many obstacles etc. Human beings and planets must work in unison and now it is time to seek the grace and blessings of Sri Mahalakshmi Devi. If Sade Sati, (a 7 ½ year when Saturn enters the zodiac sign immediately before the zodiac sign of Moon at the time of the birth of an individual) occurs it will not leave immediately. The initiation of Sri Varalakshmi Devi as part of the the 40-day Mandala Deeksha will prevent all changes in life that can cause many serious difficulties. As a result, all efforts will be positive and favourable, and by the grace of Sri Mahalakshmi Devi the great wealth willbe bestowed. Sri Mahalakshmi Devi removes all the misery and misery of mankind.
