Navaratri is a sacred time to turn our hearts towards Divine Mother, whose infinite compassion nourishes all beings and whose grace leads us towards wisdom and liberation. Through Her countless names and forms, Mother receives the prayers of Her children, drawing them closer to Her through worship, meditation, and selfless service.
Sampoorna Navaratri Mahotsava Poshaka Seva offers devotees the blessed opportunity to contribute towards the Navaratri Grand Celebrations in their entirety. From the inaugural observances through Vijayadasami, this offering joins in sustaining the sacred worship and the many services through which the Mahotsavam is conducted.
This seva contributes towards each of the scheduled Pujas and Homas, Abhishekams, Archanas, and sacred Parayanams; the flowers, garlands, and vastrams offered in Divine Mother’s alankarams; and the Naivedyam prepared with devotion and shared as prasadam. It also supports the Vahana Sevas, through which devotees behold Mother in procession and offer their reverence.
The offering extends to Maha Annadanam, honouring and caring for the priests and Vedic scholars, and receiving the devotees who come to spend these sacred days in Mother’s presence. The preparation of the temple, festival facilities, and the services needed throughout the celebrations are also embraced within this seva.
To participate in this way is to place an offering of gratitude at Mother’s feet—supporting the sacred chants that praise Her, the worship that invokes Her, and the service rendered to Her children.

Before each homam or puja is performed in Amma’s Lalita Temple, a “sankalpa” is recited in Sanskrit, a divinely powerful language. Sankalpa is a special process involving Vedic incantations that energetically connect you and your family directly to any ritual. Amma assures us that when we are included in a sankalpa, we become spiritually connected to the power of the divine ceremony and receive its full benefits immediately, just as if we were physically present.
In the section before below, please enter the name of the primary person for whom the festival is being sponsored. This name will be recited during the sankalpa. Please list up to five additional names and nakshatras only. It is not necessary to list all family members’ names, as they will automatically receive blessings through the primary sponsor.
