Karthika Masam 2025: Somavara Puja & Abhishekam

In the month of Karthika, Lord Shiva showers his abundant grace on the sponsor for inner peace, physical and mental healing, and deep meditation. Karthika is the most auspicious month for worshiping Lord Shiva, and Somavara (Monday) is the most auspicious day of the week for his worship. The four Mondays Oct 27 , Nov 3,10 & 17 in the month of Karthika are thus dedicated to the performance of puja and abhishekam to Lord Shiva. These sacred ceremonies bring mental and physical health, karmic purification, long life, and protection from accidents and untimely death. They also bring Lord Shiva’s blessing for pure, deep meditation.
